Working to Reduce Early Onset Alcohol Use in Our Community.
The Alcohol Prevention Project is working to reduce the early onset of alcohol use among 9-20 year olds in our community. According to the Georgia Student Health Survey, 6th-12th grade students who report using alcohol in the past thirty days has decreased from 19% in 2012-2013 to 13% in 2014-2015.
What’s new in ASAPP (Alcohol & Substance Abuse Prevention Project):
On November 16, 2016 the Early County community came together to paint a beautiful “Be the Wall” mural at ECHS. This mural symbolizes the way the community stands together in being the wall between teens and alcohol. Be on the lookout for the mural at local events as well as the opportunity to be a t-shirt or printed copy of the mural!
Early Choices’ “Be the Wall” t-shirts and limited edition commemorative posters are now available! The art poster ($5 unframed and $10 framed) and the tshirts ($12 for Youth and $15 for Adults) make a perfect gifts – just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 229.723.5122
