#MyStory Student Contest on Choosing Abstinence

Ready to win?  “Everyone Has a Story Inside.  Let Yours Out!” is a contest sponsored by Early Choices.  Middle and high school students can submit entries highlighting the empowering aspects of abstinence and/or the consequences of not abstaining, such as unintended pregnancy or an STD. The three formats for entries include a one-minute video, artwork such as a painting or drawing; or, a written story, 500-750 words. Entries can be submitted August 14th – September 14th and the winners will be announced on September 15th.

Middle school students will have first and second place winners in each categories and high school students will have first and second place winners in each category.  All first place winners will receive a $50 Hibbett Sports gift certificate, and second place winners will each receive a $25 Hibbett Sports gift card.

Early Choices feels strongly about giving young people the opportunity to find their voice and make the right decision when it comes to hard choices like abstaining from sex.  By telling stories that showcase the positive aspects of abstaining or the potential results of not abstaining, our goal is to highlight the importance of not engaging in activities that can derail a young person from reaching their goals.
